Occupy Wall Street’s declaration of “We are the 99%” is aspirational.

It conceptualizes a conscious and united working class positioned to take on the 1% — the ruling class — and win!

OWS was aware of the many divisions among the working class fostered by the rulers, their mass media arm and by duopoly politicians. They understood that those divisions had to be largely removed before the working class could move forward to claim its rightful democratic leadership of the nation.

Removing those divisions is, in itself, is an enormous task. And that’s because, aside from the arrayed forces that are deliberately promoting social divisions, there are other forces and individuals who perceive themselves to be “progressives” who are, perhaps inadvertently, perpetuating certain divisions themselves because they do not understand. who the REAL enemy is. They seem to be a part of the 99% who do not recognize the political significance of the 1%! Your neighbors and and other ordinary families have NOTHING to do with the social and/or economic oppression that you and most other Americans have been experiencing for decades.

Hillary Clinton supported division when she condemned the “deplorables”. Democrats and their followers support division when they condemn Trump supporters. Trump supporters support division when they attack anti-Trumpers. People who voice racial bias, LGTB bias, Muslim bias, Hispanic bias, homeless bias, poor bias, and more, are all participating in the maintenance of divisions that obscure the commonalities we share, which are far greater than any differences. Sadly, those divisions work against the very unity we must achieve if we are to successfully liberate America from our corporate capitalist oppressors.

The creation and maintenance of social, economic and political divisions is fundamental to the 1%ers’ ability to retain control of the nation. That is why movements such as Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA are met with such strong official force. BLM IS FIGHTING RACISM AND INEQUALITY GENERALLY. What possible justification can government have for repressing an organization THAT IS FIGHTING RACISM?

ANTIFA opposes white supremacy (the open expression of bias against everyone who is not white, Christian and American), and fascism — which Americans fought and sacrificed prodigiously to oppose in WWII. WHAT POSSIBLE JUSTIFICATION CAN GOVERNMENT HAVE FOR UNLEASHING MILITARY-TYPE POWER AGAINST ANTIFA?

The only logical explanation is that government is protecting the ruling class by fighting to MAINTAIN divisions among Americans!
